Vicissitude is the chronicles of the life of kianbung since its birth on the 15th April 2006 (birth of the blog, not kianbung :P) - a post cataclysmic accidental server file deletion blog revival. A spiritual successor to his previous outlet of rants and rage on the internet, if you must.

However, this time around, there will be less ranting and raging, and more non-personal topics - in a sense. After all, it is a blog. Subjectivity, opinion-based judgements and even downright bias are almost mandatory here.

The word Vicissitude means change, and is a perfect representation of kianbung’s move from a post-highschool limbo into a university environment. Hey, it seemed like a cool name at the time. Plus it’s pretty catchy.

Vicissitude focuses on kianbung’s life and experiences in Curtin University of Technology, Sarawak. Rather than focusing on day-to-day tedium within Curtin, this blog will from time to time feature posts viewing the university from an insider’s point of view - both good and bad, providing a different angle of the story that media and advertisements may have not portrayed to the public.

Other than complaining about Curtin, this blog will also feature photographs as kianbung is a casual photographer, occasionally bringing out his digital camera to snap a few shots here and there.

Those, plus movie and videogame reviews (sorta), comments of anime and manga, the rare piece of literature or writing that kianbung may feel ‘inspired’ to compose, the occasional random link around the internet, and ranting about life in general.

Vicissitude 2.0 has gone past the beta phase, and is not renamed Vicissitude Reboot - a reflection of the reboot in kianbung’s life that has gone through a backwards change - to allow for a great leap forward.

Okay, it’s been more than a year now. And it’s been renamed yet again (to a rather uninspired name). So yeah.

Cheers.
