Scenario:

A: “Dude, later [lecturer name] how ah?”
B: (playing some awesome game) “Dunno wei. Quite late liaw.”
A: “So how?”
B: (still playing said game) “Erm…. Like that lor.”
5 minutes pass…
A: “So [lecturer name] how?”
B: “Oh that? Dunno wei. Hmm…” (continues playing game)
Repeat until someone says it’s too late to wake up in time for class the next day.

Translation:

A: “Dude, I don’t feel like going to class later, but I don’t wanna admit it. I’m asking you what to do in hopes that you say that we skip class.”
B: (pretends to be distracted by game) “I don’t feel like going class either, but I don’t wanna be the first to suggest that we skip. Why don’t you suggest it?”
A: “Nah. I don’t wanna be the bad guy. You do it.”
B: (still pretending to be engrossed in game) “Okay, I’ll pretend to be distracted so that maybe we’ll just let this convo slide and then just ‘oversleep’ later.”
5 minutes of pretending to do something else….
A: “So you gonna suggest skipping class yet?”
B: “Nope.”
Delay and deny until someone finally suggests that they skip.
