I’m Back.

Yesh, people of Brunei. I am back.

Posting on a reaaaaaallllllyyyyyyy sllllloooooowwwww connection, so I really don’t feel like writing anymore today. =\

Necessary Censorship

For once, I’m actually not gonna bash censorship in something. In fact, there’s this awesome music video which contains a lot of censored nudity, but the censoring is done in such an awesome way that I give my deepest respects to whomever come up with the concept for this music video.

I present to you, Toe Jam by Brighton Port Authority.

*WARNING: Censored nudity*

There you have it. How awesome was that? The stripping and nudity means nothing in the music video. In fact, it’s done in such an awesome way that you don’t even notice the nudity much. The censor bars totally stole the whole damn show.

Again, major major props to whoever come up with the concept.

The murderer… was you!

You did it!

Detective Conan is awesome. I knew that from way long time ago, and I rediscovered that fact yesterday. Been reading it since last night, and hooked since. Yeah, I know it’s highly dramatised - and the cases and circumstances (not to mention the godly luck of the protagonist) are very unrealistic, but hey, it’s a detective manga, and I enjoy it. So ’nuff said.

Got my dose from onemanga.com. Lots of other series there, so enjoy.

Ye Olde Grog Recipe

In the light of the inevitable drinking session next week, I have searched the internets for the recipe of the most vile drink known to man - Grog.

Here’s the long-lost original recipe, from the mouths of real pirates:

Kerosene
Propylene glycol
Artificial sweeteners
Sulphuric acid
Rum
Acetone
Red dye no. 2
Scumm
Axle grease
Battery acid
Pepperoni

Yo ho ho. You fight like a cow.

I have manly hands >=)

According to BBC’s Brain-Sex test thingamajig, I have manly hands. Check this out.

I have manly hands, yo

Yeah man.

Now if only I got a higher score for the overall test… =\

Mmm…

Original Sauce for this test: http://www.janx1.blogspot.com/2008/06/sex-of-your-brain.html

Wall - 1, Idiot - 0

*Warning: Graphic, sort of.*

But it’s funny as hell. This is what you get when you get on the wrong side of gravity, minus the usage (or presence) of your brain.

FREEEEEEEDOMMMMMM!!!!!!!!

I so totally feel like Mel Gibson’s character right now. Finishing my essay and reading log in one fell swoop, I am now totally qualified to run around in a kilt and yell “FREEEEEEDOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!”.

Okay - maybe minus the yelling and the kilts. But yeah. I’m free for now. That’s good enough.

Now if only I can say that I’m actually prepared for my Bstat exam. =\

T-Shirt Ninja!

Got a headache while writing my essay (2300 words, yo!), so I played with Colours (a sort of Paint-like software) on Scott’s DS. This is what I came up with.

Yep. T-Shirt Ninja. A character that was born from my sketching and doodling while bored in class. He’s got stumpier legs and arms now, and he looks a lot more abstract than before, but yeah - it’s still T-Shirt Ninja.

3000 words wtf?!

Holy shit.

I’ve been up the whole night doing research on my essay for MCI 212 and I’ve only just broken the 1000-word mark. Damn. It’s gonna be a rough journey ahead.

Good thing is, I’ve found this awesome Firefox extension that helped me out immensely in organising my reference materials.

zotero.org

If you’re a college or uni student, and you find referencing an unnecessary pain in the ass to do, check it out now. It not only organises your reference materials properly, it also saves a copy of whatever website you referenced and even allows you to highlight stuff you think is relevant or important and also post ’sticky notes’ of sorts.

And best of all - citation and bibliography generator. And there’s a Microsoft Word plugin for it. How Fu-Yoh! is that?
