Birthday Combo ftw~!!

Pixel Cake for myself. How sad.

Yeap. And now it’s my turn. My birthday! Yay!

It was a rather sad occasion, me being antisocial and sitting at home, in front of my PC while I turn 19. Thus the pixel cake. But hey, I got tons of SMS’s from friends, and also a lot of MSN messenger greetings. So yeah, I guess it isn’t that bad. ^_^

Well, bow down to me humans. Your ninja-pirate-spartan god has just turned 19.

Btw, I stole that pixel cake from dunno who…

A Tomato’s Birthday!

Tomato, tomato~

Happy Birthday to Cyndy, our very own alcoholic tomato! For that, I’ve put up a picture of her for everyone~ (picture for illustrative purposes only, not a complete representation of actual person)

I actually whipped up a picture using Photoshop CS3 (yes, I’m using it now - it rocks) using stock images from Google (as usual).

We went out for food and drinks the night before, first at Sun City - a relatively new place to eat and drink in Miri (and it doesn’t feel Miri, so yay), and then we were off to Chaplin’s Bar near Cheerie Berries. Yay for more alcohol. Yay for kantoi! But then we got bored. >.<

Bought more beer at the wet market and drove back to Senadin, and then went to Fish’s place to consume more beer.

Oh btw, Cyndy belanja makan at Sun City. So if you weren’t there, then it sucks to be you~ Anyway, thanks tomato for the food!

The tomato speaks! Freudian slips are fun!

Office 2007 Rocks!

Office 2007!

Okay, despite the picture (which I hastily grabbed off Google Image Search) - I’m talking about Word 2007 in specific. When I first got Word 2007, I thought it was yet another eye-candy upgrade cashcow for Micro$oft to leech of - but a night of rushing assignments and having to make reference lists prove otherwise. Drunken Blogging

Blogging under the influence of alcohol is fun~ You feel like Ichigo in Vizard mode. Fast, unrefined, powerful and psycho. It’s blogging in its highest (and lowest) state.

But my head hurts now. Continue reading ‘Drunken Blogging’

Raid

Oh man. Is this a good day or not? I’m at a loss for words.

Doesn’t matter. It’s yet another Saturday night after a stressful week - and yet again, we had a night out drinking. I had Tigers and a couple of shots of liquor (I think it’s Jack Daniels). And then we went to Thai Bar. Yes, Thai Bar again. Yes, it’s not a boring place.

It’s packed up like there’s no tomorrow and I was drunk. Pure happiness. My only regret was that it lacked a certain element to make it complete. But I guess it was still okay. I was drunk, and dancing like nobody’s business.

Until, of course, there was a raid. It was uncalled for. We had no idea it was gonna happen, and I got my IC taken for no reason. By the police. I cooperated, of course. I was too piss drunk to do anything about it.

We were all kidnapped and taken to the police headquarters for urine testing. I pissed all over the container, and myself. And I tripped over (thanks to the alcohol) and nearly killed myself. I would’ve sued them silly if I had died then. But I didn’t, so I cooperated.

They did some litmus paper or some highschool chemistry with a dozen or so urine samples, and then let us go. There was a false positive or so, and we made a few friends with some other people who got detained. Kinda potong steam for those who just came over for an event and happened to be here for the weekend. We were okay with it, it’s not like we’re not coming back the following week.

We did nothing wrong anyway, and got released  a while after that. Cursing the police for spoiling our night, we drove off to eat. One thing though, I was quite happy that someone was worrying over me throughout the whole ordeal. Yes, inappropriate it was to feel happy over one’s stress, but happiness is happiness. I’m glad that someone cared.

Well, went to eat, and went to the beach. I puked at the beach. No one saw. It was forcible puking, just to make myself feel better. And yeah, I felt much better after that. I feel hungry now, though. >.<

Ah well, an eventful night, and a nice sleep I shall have after this. Yay~ ^_^

Wordpress 2.1.3

Yes, a it’s long overdue, but I’ve finally upgraded to version 2.1.3 of Wordpress.

And what does this have to do with anything?

Absolutely no idea. Just thought you might want to know.

PC Fair Sucks!!

Lol. I think it’s called PIKOM or some shit like that. Not that it matters. It’s a total dump there.

As usual, it’s held at the indoor stadium. This is some annual thing, actually - since I remember going to this same event last year - and not really liking it. It passed off as okay last year because I actually bought speakers. This year, it totally sucks. There was nothing that I wanted, and thus I felt cheated. Give me back my time, Miri!!

Walked round and round the booths, which were laid out in a really confusing manner. It’s so easy to get lost in there, even with the small number of booths. It just looks very… backwater and messy. There weren’t that many people in there either. At least, it’s not as crowded as Lowyat Plaza in KL. There, it’s like a PC Fair every single day. Heaven for computer geeks like me. ^_^

Anyway, according to an anonymous source (identity witheld to protect that individual), prices have been jacked up for the fair. Rather ironic considering that people go to the PC Fair in hopes of getting cheap hardware. Some Logitech laptop mouse that was normally sold in the streets for RM40 was being sold at the fair for RM49.

I’m guessing they would give you RM9 discount for the mouse. Damn. That’s Brunei Indian sports shop marketing strategy right there. o.o (No, I’m not being racist. That is how they sell stuff in Brunei.)

Narutimate Accel is out!

Narutimate Accel!!

It came as a surprise. In fact, I have no idea how I came across the news. But I’m really glad that I did. I’ve been a long-running serious player in the Narutimate series, and this new instalment is definitely a welcome one.

There are around 16 new characters added to the roster, and the previous character roster is definitely not a small one. The much-anticipated post-timeskip characters are now here, save a few. Yes, that means Naruto now actually fights in a cool way, Neji has a new Kaiten, and Sakura has superhuman bitch powers. Oh, and Gaara can fly with his sand.

Now my only gripe is that there is no post-timeskip Sasuke. I don’t believe it. Yes, our imba psuedo-antagonist is not included in this game. NOOOOOOOOOOES. I want gay shunpo power! And Chidori sword! Even if he wears a gay kimono! Grr.

Anyway, the game seems much more refined now - previously known (and exploited) bugs are gone now (like the button locks - gosh I loved them), and characters have been balanced. No more gay chakra-sucking Neji/Kisame. And the piledriver bug is gone too. Yay. ^_^

And thus my visits to shishi-rendan.com has returned.

One Year of Vicissitude

<Birthday Year=”1″>
Happy Birthday Vicissitude~
</Birthday>

Curse the attempt at trying to look smart/nerdy. Anyway, today is when this blog becomes 1 year old! Yay. *applause*cheer*pop*crack*whatever*

Lol. Contrary to what some people may think (and hope for), I’m still not dead. I’ve just been away for a few days. Thinking. Contemplating. Planning. Deciding what to do with this blog for its birthday.

And then it hit me. Why not compile a list of interesting things that happened in the past year? Not all of my audiences are here from the very beginning, so let’s give them a trip down the memory lane to see what made this blog (and I) what we are now. Continue reading ‘One Year of Vicissitude’

All Day Out

Yay. Being the crazy irresponsible son of my parents, I have left my younger sister home alone and went out to hang out with friends. Met up with Yon and Chen in the afternoon to have lunch at Escapade. Had expensive food, which I regretted quite a while later.

After that, it’s the usual DotA session. However, this time it was rather potong steam because I was sitting beside this fucker. Violent fucker. He was punching the LCD monitor and flipping/bashing the keyboard because he accidentally turned on a function in Windows XP and couldn’t turn it off. (try pressing your Shift key five times - yep, that’s what happened) Retard.

To make matters worse, while I was playing DotA, he was commenting rather loudly to his friend on how I suck. Frankly, I realise that I’m not the best player in the world, but having a fucking stranger making fun of you as if you don’t understand Chinese is just fucking rude.

Several times I have felt like seriously bashing that guy’s face in, but hell. I’m in a rather bad position to retaliate. Private corner - the other five ugly guys on the same table are probably his friends. Sorry, but I’m no Leonidas.

After that match, I was in no mood to play, so I went for a drink with Yon and Chen. Went off with Heng Soon after that - and met up with his friends. A cute girl and a photographer. Or at least a guy lugging around a camera and snapping photos. He takes good photos - so yeah, a photographer.

Brunei is boring. There’s a new mall in Kiulap - and nothing interesting. Then went for a walk in the Mall in Gadong and sneaked into the balcony. It was supposed to be locked up, but we found an access point through the stairs.

Chilled, and whatnot. Then they left. We were bored. Let it be known that I found a nice place to play with cars. Supposedly, that’s the place where all the people go to learn to park cars. I found a use for that place that involves turning the wheel tightly and burning rubber. It was fun. ^_^

When all was said and done, I sent Heng Soon and his brother home. Yep, and I found a nice place to play with my (dad’s) car right behind my house. Yeah man.

Oh, and we went to the arcades this afternoon too. And I fucking owned in Soul Calibur 2. Not because I rock. It’s just that all the people that challenged were spammers. The standard of arcade gaming in Brunei had never been high. The fact that they don’t have Daytona says a lot.

Do. Not. Fuck. With. A. Miri. SC. Player. Playing. Conquest.

Thank you.
