I’m in the pissiest mood possible at the moment. I feel like flaming something at the moment.
Now I shall take my leave and be pissed the whole day at myself for being sohai.
I was hoping it was an alien invasion, the beginning of Apocalypse, or something equally awesome happening.
Miri suffered a city-wide power outage that hit without prior warning. Everywhere was pitch black. We decided to evacuate to town, like many other people. It was all dark there too. On the road back to the outskirts of Miri, there were people going back hoping their homes would be powered too. Sucks to be them.
Anyway, we found this magical place that wasn’t effected by this outage. Really magical, considering that all major hotels were hit by the outage as well.
Turns out that not only Miri was hit. Most of Sarawak was hit as well [sauce: the Star]. It was really awesome at the time - the confusion of a major power outage, the hordes of people all heading to town as if there was some sort of silent calling before some supernatural mass sacrifice (I was chanting Reuuuuniiiionnnn all the way in the car ride lol). In fact, I was half expecting to see some crazy mushroom cloud in the distance signalling the end of the world.
Turns out, it was far less epic than I hoped.
No mass rioting, no alien invasion (and I was so ready to bow down to our new rulers as well), no nuclear apocalypse - hell, even the Sesco main office wasn’t on fire. At least then I wouldn’t have to pay my bills.
Meh. Miri is not that happening, eh?

I just finished the campaign for CoD4. I still have the bonus mission to play - but otherwise, I know all there is to be spoiled. What can I say about it in one word? Epic.

The Dark Knight premieres today. Caught the premiere at 9.40pm, 16th July - one day after taiko’s birthday.
But why, you may ask - if it’s a Batman film, why the hell did I put a poster with Joker as the opening pic? No, it’s not because the actor Heath Ledger died and I’m doing a tribute. No. It’s because he’s more or less the star in this film, overshadowing even Batman. He did an awesome job portraying Joker as a genuinely insane character. So rest in peace bro, you did an awesome job and went off with a bang.

Shit, to commemorate your birthday, we were at Chun Hong’s place drinking. There was a roadblock right there, but who cares. They flagged me through!
So yeah. Lots of beer, drinking and bullshitting. Heck, I don’t even remember half of it!

Anyway, my XPS is coming soon! I ordered it just now in the evening! Thanks to my parents who were willing to plop down almost 5k RM to pay for the laptop!
